the slope of the line will be  -1 / (-3)  = 1/3 y-y1 = m(x-x1)   y1 = 4 , x1 = 6 and m = 1/3   so we have y - 4 = (1/3)(x - 6) y - 4 = (1/3)x - 2 y =  (1/3)x + 2

perpendicular to y = -3x + 7/9 then slope = 1/3 passes through the point (6, 4) y = mx + b 4 = 1/3(6) + b 4 = 2 + b b = 2 equation y =1/3(x) + 2
