Why did W. E. B. Du Bois call Marcus Garvey “the most dangerous enemy of the Negro race in America”?
W. E. B. Du Bois very much advocated an African American integration into society while Marcus Garvey promoted the back to Africa movement. They were very much at odds with one another and Du Bois believed that Garvey threatened his efforts he and the NAACP were trying to make.
