The answer to the question stated above is: letter C.Traits acquired during a lifetime are not passed on to offspring. >Lamark had doubts too. He cited the animal's neck as an example. He said that animal's neck could get a bit longer when its owner often stretched it,  trying to reach higher leaves in the trees for example. But, that's actually not stretching. The truth was too far beyond belief.  However, merely because a physical change has been achieved by an individual, it doesn't mean that those changes can be inherited by their descendants.
