Why did British policies after the French and Indian War lead to increased tensions with colonists? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! aSAP

Well, the British believed that the colonist should pay off the debt incurred by wars the British hosted. this created tension because the colonist didn't believe the same as the British parliament did and felt like the British was just stealing their money.
