The correct answer is D. The reason being that compounds are chemically bonded, whilst mixtures are Jutish staying together. Water is a compound, and you can't just pull water apart! But with a mixture like salad, you can easily separate the different vegetables. Also, b is incorrect as that is dipescribing SOLUTIONS.
