One of them was the great compromise it affected the government because it set up how many reps. would be put in the house and how many reps. would be put in the senate, it was decided that house representation would be proportional to the population, while the senate was set at two. The other compromise that was made was the three fifths compromise, which said that slaves would be counted as three fifths a person. This was done because the southerns had the most slaves in the union which if the slaves were to be counted as a full person, it would give the south unproportionatal  representation.
