what is 2/3 of 13 because I'm a a 5th grader and my teacher gave us hard math can you help me figure it out?

(2/3)*13=8.66666666667

well 2 divided by 3 is 1.5 and multiply that by 13 so your number sentence is ((2/3)x13) which equals {if my calculations are correct}494.0 because you can switch around the order of operation because you are reading left to right so then technically it would be all is parentheses because in 5th grade my teacher taught PEMDAS which means () x² x / + - so it is easier to remeber.
