A. PRESERVING LEARNING - THINK THAT THIS IS THE ANSWER ! The contribution that the Catholic Church made to society during the early Middle Ages was that they preserved learning. Because only a few people could read or write during the Middle Ages, the Church ran most of the schools so that it's clergy could be educated.  Hope that this helpss causee i look back at my civics notes and found that so if ITS NOT RIGHT TELL ME
