y = 3x - 7...so we sub in 3x - 7 for x in the other equation 15x - 5y = 14 15x - 5(3x - 7) = 14 15x - 15x + 35 = 14 15x - 15x = 14 - 35 0 = - 21...incorrect.......therefore, this has no solution
