Under the reign of Louis XIV, the government in France was an absolute monarchy. Louis XIV was a monarch as were his predecessors and in the same way as were his successors. The person who took over te throne after Louis XIV was his great-grandson Louis XV. The correct answer is D. The purpose of the British Declaratory Act of 1766 was to proclaim the right of Britain to pass laws regulating the colonies. It could be also B but the reason why C is the correct answer is because the Stamp act was not necessarily repealed by this act, however, it was passed with the exact purpose which is stated in C. The correct answer is C.
