First, let's find how many students are boys.  We do this by multiplying 24 by 1/2. 24*1/2=12.  Now, we find how many of the boys have brown hair.  We do this by multiplying the number of boys, 12, by 1/3. 12*1/3 = 4.  So, 4 boys have brown hair in Ms. Woodall's class.
