The gas in a cylinder has a volume of 3 liters at a pressure of 115 kPa. The pressure of the gas is increased to 219 kPa. Assuming the temperature remains constant, what would the new volume be?

you can use the formula P1V1= P2V2 where, P1= 115 kPa V1= 3 liters P2= 219 kPa V2= ? (115) (3)= (319) V2 V2= (115 x 3)/ 319= 1.08 liters
