Violence and abuse is sometimes not reported because people are to scared to report it. They may have gotten threatened by the abuser and don't want to take chances. There are also the fact of social status. People don't want others to think bad or poorly on them because they don't want to ruin their social status. They think it is better to have a good social status than to report their abuse. In my opinion it is better to report your abuse so it can make your life safer.
