I cannot make out the height along the left side.  However this problem is quite simple, let s= that measurement along the left side vertical line.  The area of this figure is just the area of a rectangle added to the area of a triangle... A=(110*s)+(180-110)(s-50)/2 A=110s+35s-3500 A=(145s-3500) cm^2 ... The second problem is just a triangle: A=4*6/2 A=12 cm^2

Area of Figure A :  Rectangle = l • w = 110 • 145 = 15,950 cm² Triangle = 1/2 • b • h = 1/2 • (180 - 110) • (145 -  50) = 1/2 • 70 • 95 = 3,325 cm² Area of Figure A = 15,950 + 3,325 = 19,275 cm² Answer : 19,275 cm² Area of Figure B :  1/2 • b • h = 1/2 • 4 • 6 = 12 Answer : 12 cm²
