People with type 2 diabetes have to monitor their blood sugar levels and take insulin to manage the disease. True False
This is a somewhat complicated one... I would strongly suggest "False" Type 1 Diabetes or Juvenile diabetes is known as insulin dependence and requires you to monitor and take insulin. This is due to the bodies inability to produce insulin which is the key to unlocking energy in glucose. Type 2 Diabetes however is usually based upon oral medication, maintaining healthy life styles, etc... While it does not generally need insulin, some patient may need to take it. Type 2 diabetes usually results from the body being insufficient or unable to effectively produce insulin. While insulin is there its not enough or is chemically unable to do the job.
the below comment is correct, it is not "dependent" on insulin
