Kurt worked on a project for 2/3 of an hour. Gilbert worked on the same project for 4/5 of an hour. How many hours did the boys work on the project? Express your answer in simplest form.

You will do  [latex] \frac{2}{3} + \frac{4}{5} = \frac{10}{15} + \frac{12}{15} = \frac{22}{15} = 1\frac{7}{15} [/latex] The answer is [latex]1 \frac{7}{15} [/latex]

1&7/15 because you have to find the LCM of 2/3 and 4/5 and that would make the problem 10/15+12/15=22/15 and that simple is1&7/15     :)
