4y-6 = 2x ----------> (1) y= 3x +9 ------------> (2) sub (2) in (1); 4y-6=2x 4 (3x+9) -6 =2x 12x + 36 -6 =2x 12x - 2x = -36 +6 10x = -30 x = -3------------->(3) sub (3) in (2); y=3x + 9 y = 3*-3+9 y= -9+9 y=0 x = -3 y=0
