Using power rule alone, you have [latex]\dfrac{\mathrm d}{\mathrm dx}\left[\dfrac2{\sqrt x}+\dfrac{\sqrt x}2\right]=\dfrac{\mathrm d}{\mathrm dx}\left[2x^{-1/2}+\dfrac12x^{1/2}\right]=-x^{-3/2}+\dfrac14x^{-1/2}=-\dfrac14x^{-3/2}(4-x)[/latex]
