Eight friends share two pizzas equally. How much of a pizza does each friend get?
2/8. You take two pizzas and divide them by 8.
Each one will get 2/8. Here's a trick: The number of people is your denominator and the amount of things is your numerator. A common mistake is that you do it backwards (instead of 2/8, someone says it's 8/2). It doesn't make sense to say that because there is not enough pizza for everyone if each person gets 8/2 of the slice.
