Do we classify viruses as living creatures? Why or why not?

No, viruses are no classified as living because they are only genetic material inside a protein coating. They do not have any of the same cellular functions or organelles as normal living animal or plant cells.

No.        The virus is not living things. Viruses are entangled gatherings of particles, that is proteins, sugars etc, yet all alone they can do nothing until they enter a living cell. With the absence of cells, Virus would not have the capacity to duplicate. In this way, we can conclude that viruses are not living things.
