' √ ' is known as the radical sign. She can find the square root of number by constructing the factor tree and re-arranging the factors to get a root. This will be a long process. The simplest way is to find the squares of numbers starting from1. √1 = 1 √4 = 2 √9 = 3 ......... and so on.
