LESSON When a number has a negative exponent you flip it example: x^-2 would be 1/x^2 I know its weird, but it's how this works so, now we solve your prob 1/3^-2+1/2^-3 Now flip your numbers 3^2+2^3 Now this is easy 9+8 17

13 * (12 - 3 38) = -2324 ≅ -0.9583333 Conversion: 3 3/8 = 3 · 8 + 3  / 8 = 27/8 Subtract: 1/2 - 27/8 = 1 · 4 / 2 · 4 - 27/8 = 4/8 - 27/8 = 4 - 27/8 = -23/8 Multiple: 1/3 * (-23 /  8) = 1 · (-23)3 · 8 = -23/24
