Hello! So, there is a rule that says if you are adding or subtracting something with a common denominator, you can put the numerators together and simplify. [latex]\:\frac{a}{c}\pm \frac{b}{c}=\frac{a\pm \:b}{c}[/latex] Which applying to your equation gives [latex]=\frac{x-2+4x-4}{6x^2+6x}[/latex] which you then simplify to  [latex]=\frac{5x-6}{6x^2+6x}[/latex]
