An object has a mass of 8.00 kg. what is the gravitational force of the object on earth

When a mass of 8 kg is located on the Earth's surface, the magnitude of each of the gravitational forces attracting the mass and the Earth toward each other is (mass) x (acceleration of gravity on Earth) = (8.0 kg) x (9.81 m/s²) = 78.48 kg-m/s² = 78.48 newtons (about 17 pounds 10.2 ounces)
You find gravitational force by doing Mass x 10 (or 9.8, but you can round up to 10 if your teacher allows it). so 8 x 10 = 80 Newtons!
