Divide 5/6 in a calculator, write down the answer.Clear your calculator and then divide 1 by 2.now with those answers, clear your calculator and write the number you got when you divided 5/6 and then subtract what you got from 1/2.

5/6 -1/2 = 1/3    first you write out the problem then figure out the common denominator ; 12 then see how many times the old denominator goes into the new denominator ; 2 and 6 , then multiply the numerator to get 10 & 6 . subtract 10/12 by 6/12 to get 4/12 then divide. answer it 1/3
